Bluegrass, Gospel and Country
BIO
The Little Mountain Boys, one thing for certain, it’s not the boys that are little! The band name comes from the “Little Mountain” located in an area of Central Virginia known as Nelson County and Piney River, an area the band calls home.
We play a wide variety of music and original songs as well and love Country, Bluegrass and Gospel music. Influenced by the sounds of Flatt & Scruggs, Jim & Jesse, Merle Haggard, Brother Oswald and the list goes on and on but nothing sounds better than acoustic instruments and amazing harmony.
The average age of the band is, well let’s just say “they know better” and leave it at that. The band played its first bluegrass festival at Festival in the Pines in Rocky Mount, VA after winning a band competition and have played in numerous festivals in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The band has opened for performers such as Rhonda Vincent, Cherryholmes, The Grascals, Seldom Scene, and the Spinney Brothers to name a few. The Little Mountain Boys have recorded six CD’s to date and plan to be in the studio in the upcoming months.

The Little Mountain Boys are a group of individuals that play a wide venue of music, ranging from bluegrass, country and gospel.
We always chuckle when we are confronted by an individual who thinks the band name is symbolic of the size of the band members! The band's name is derived not from the size of the band members, but from the size of the mountain region from which the majority of the band resides. The Little Mountain is located in Nelson County, Virginia, an area also known as Central Virginia.
Making Memories is the band's latest CD.
We look Forward to seeing you!
